Inspiring quotes: Manuscript Found In Accra by Paulo Coelho

The Divine Energy is listening to us when we speak to other people, but also when we are still and silent and able to accept solitude as a blessing.
And in that moment, Its light illuminates everything around us and helps us to see that we are necessary, that our presence on Earth makes an immense difference to Its work.

Inspirational: The Alchemist by Paolo Cuelho

Synopsis taken from Amazon:

“My heart is afraid that it will have to suffer,” the boy told the alchemist one night as they looked up at the moonless sky.” Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself. And that no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dreams.”

The Alchemist is the magical story of Santiago, an Andalusian shepherd boy who yearns to travel in search of a worldly treasure as extravagant as any ever found. From his home in Spain he journeys to the markets of Tangiers and across the Egyptian desert to a fateful encounter with the alchemist.

The story of the treasures Santiago finds along the way teaches us, as only a few stories have done, about the essential wisdom of listening to our hearts, learning to read the omens strewn along life’s path, and, above all, following our dreams.

This book was such an inspiration to me as it was to over a million world wide. It taught me that whatever difficulties and challenges that  life throws your way, but we are actually never alone. The universe gives us guidance and support through our instincts, through the kindness of strangers, and through little and seemingly meaningless happenings that help us go through every hurdle.

At the end of the day, life is a journey where we should remember to enjoy the voyage and not focus only on the destination.

I’m glad that Paolo Cuelho declined the offer to sell the rights of this book for a movie adaptation. That would really spoil it’s magic.
