“Okay….., thank you genius.” Tia reproached when they were in his car, “If I was thinking of quitting before, now I definitely have to do it.”
“Wait, you were thinking of quitting?” He asked.
Tia nodded, “I’ve sent my CV to other companies.”
“But why?” Ahmed was puzzled.
“Never mind, after what happened just now, I think my reasons have become invalid.” Tia paused, “How am I going to confront the people at the office on Monday?”
“I thought you wanted me to admit to everyone that we are dating?”
“I do….but without all the drama….” She pouted.
“Well, there’s nothing we can do now. Besides, who told you to taunt me by acting all mushy with that tennis coach.” Ahmed furrowed.
“I wasn’t acting all mushy….” Her phone rang.
“You should get that.” Ahmed said.
“It’s Ronald’s number, so it’s most likely Winnie who is calling me…” Tia read the name on the screen. “Hello….”
“Tia, what happened? Where are you? Why did Mr. Ahmed punch Mark and say that you are his girlfriend? What’s going one?”
“Winnie, I’ll talk to you on Monday, okay?” Tia didn’t know what else to say.
“You better tell me everything, and don’t miss any details!” Winnie threatened.
“I will, I promise……Um, tell Mark that I’m sorry for what happened.”
“I’ll tell him you said that.”
“Bye…” Tia hung up the call. “Take a right up front.” She said to Ahmed.
“Why?” Ahmed asked.
“You said you’re going to take me home.”Tia replied, “My house is in that direction.”
“Ah, you’re right, I did say that I was going to take you home. But I never said that I’d take you to to your parents’ home. What do you say if we stop by a supermarket and get some groceries, I haven’t eaten a single bite.”
“Hey, I like that idea. We can make spaghetti and salad.”
“Okay, I’ll make the spaghetti and you make the salad, deal?”
“Deal!” She cheered.
* * *
“This is the worst spaghetti I’ve ever tasted in my life! Did you cook it in sea water or something?” Tia spat out the food in the napkin.
“I’m usually a good cook, but since today there was a hot lady in a sexy evening gown in my kitchen, it was hard for me to concentrate, so the lid of the salt accidentally fell off making the contents of the bottle spill in to the sauce, I tried to take out as much salt as I can…” Ahmed confessed.
“Thank goodness, there’s still the salad, it’s not real food, but at least it’s something. But if this is all I’m eating, I’m going to get gasses all night tonight. I always get gasses if I don’t eat a good supper.” She complained as she stabbed her fork in the vegetables.
“I think gasses are sexy….” Ahmed teased.
Tia laughed, “Salty pasta and gasses, how romantic.”
“But if it would make you happy, why don’t I call for some pizza?”
“Pizza….sounds good…. meat lovers with extra cheese.”
“You’re so decisive aren’t you?”
“Of course….” Tia replied lightly.
Ahmed walked to the living room, sitting on the couch, he called the pizzeria he gave them the order and address of the house. He waved to Tia who was still sitting at the dining table, she walked to him and held his hand that was extended to her. He pulled her down making her fall on top of him. He held her and began to attack her lips, using his tongue to explore her cavity..
“Do you want to change into something more comfortable while we wait?” He asked pulling away slightly.
“I don’t have any clothes here, how can I changed.” She replied logically.
“Well, I’ll give you two options, you can either wear one of mine, or you can …” He paused dropped back on the couch and rolled over so she was under him, “Take it off altogether…”
“Ahmed, I..” She paused as he began kissing her passionately again. Tia closed her eyes and circled her arms around his neck. She gasped as he became even more daring, slipping his hand under her dress and caressed her thigh. She shivered at the strange sensation. His hand ventured up, carefully stroking her stomach, moving to her waist and going upward to her breast.
Tia respired as she heard his breath turned heavier, his tongues in her mouth becoming wilder. He muffled a groan feeling her warm and soft body quiver under him when he gently pulled down her strapless bra and began kneading her tender bust.
Tia realized, what his intentions are, she couldn’t help but be caught in the currents of his passion. However her mind panicked as she understood that she was about to enter an unknown territory for her. She opened her eyes and froze. Catching the change in her reaction Ahmed stopped, he looked into her eyes, he could see doubt and uncertainty.
“What’s wrong?” He whispered.
The door bell rang allowing Tia exhaled in relief when Ahmed got off and stood up to open the door. Tia quickly sat up and fixed her dress. She sat nervously on the couch while he paid the delivery and came back with the box of pizza.
Ahmed placed the box on the coffee table, he sat back on the couch, taking a deep breath summoning his strength to ask her, “Don’t you like it?”
“It’s not that…” Tia whispered while shaking her head.
“Is it me? You don’t like me?”
“I like you, I like you a lot….I really do…”
“Then what is it?”
“Well, it because, I….I….I’ve never actually done it before….I feel a little…..” Tia bowed her head.
“You’ve never done it?” He repeated.
She shook her head.
Ahmed got up again and walked to his room leaving her sitting there in her hesitation. After a while he came out already in his casual clothes and holding a t-shirt and a pair of shorts. “Put these on before you eat, we don’t want to get oil and grease on that dress.”
She heeded him right away, taking the clothes from his hand, she walked to his room and closed the door. Tia leaned against the door trying to calm herself. Her body was still shaking, she wrapped her arms around her chest trying to calm herself. As soon as she felt her mind calmed, she hastily took off her clothes and put on Ahmed’s shirt and shorts.
Once Tia had finished changing she came out of the bedroom, he had taken out a bottle of red wine and two cups, the TV was on tuning with a soccer game.
“I know it may not be the best match in the world, pizza and red wine, but I promise you that you would like it.” He smiled brightly.
Tia was relieved to see him in a light mood. She nodded and smiled, then walked up and sat beside him. She took the glass of wine that he handed to her and took a sip at the red liquid.
“What’s playing?” She asked.
“Bundesliga. Bayern Vs Dortmund” He replied “Do you like football?”
She nodded, “I’m rooting for Bayern Munchen.”
“Well of course, they won the previous two years in a row.” He rolled his eyes. “Here’s your slice, you should eat up.” He gave her a slice of pizza and poured more wine in her glass.
Tia began chomping on the pie while her eyes were stuck on the game
“Mmm…this pizza is good,” She licked the crumbs from her fingers after finishing a slice.
Ahmed looked at her closely, his face flustered. “Here, have a drink of wine, you must be thirsty.” He picked up the glass and gave it to her, “Let me serve you some more.”
“I think I have to be careful, I don’t want to end up making a fool out of myself like I did at the company dinner.” She giggled, the alcohol was beginning to creep up to her mind.
“That’s why you should eat some more and drink slowly. See, the reason why you got so drunk the other day was because you hardly touched your food and drank the wine like it was syrup.”
“You’re such a wise man…” She mocked passing down the rest of the wine in her glass.
Ahmed smiled, chewing his food and observing her. He picked up the bottle again, refilling his own glass and taking a drink.
“My glass is empty!” She protested.
“No more wine for you, not yet. I don’t want you to be too drunk. Here, wipe your hands.” He gave her a napkin.
She wiped her fingers and mouth putting the napkin back on the table.
“You have some sauce on the corner of your lip.” Ahmed pointed.
Tia reached out her tongue, “Did I get it?”
Ahmed shook his head.
Tia passed her finger over her lip to get rid of the sauce.
“It still there…” He grinned.
Tia sulked, thumping her feet on the floor she complained, “Stop making fun of me….”
Ahmed moved closer and wiped her cheek with his finger, before gently clasping her cheeks and kissing her again. Tia didn’t know why she couldn’t resist her self from pulling him towards her and attacking his mouth with desire. The shame that she felt before was no where to be seen, she even began to run her fingers through his hair. She moved herself to sit facing him and sat on his lap. Circling her legs around his waist
“Can I take to the room?” He whispered.
“Eh-he…” Tia sighed.
He picked her up from the couch and lifted her to the room, lying her down on the bed. This time, she didn’t hesitate to receive his affection.
* * *
Ahmed opened his eyes in annoyance, at the sound of the long buzzing of somebody pressing the door bell. Tia stirred beside him, “Who is it?” She murmured half asleep.
“I’ll go and check.” He grumbled getting out of the bed and put on his shorts. He walked out of the room and headed to the front door.
He opened the door slightly, peeking out to see who it was. Princess Latifa was at the door, her face was sour and her eyes shun with annoyance. She pushed the door open, hitting her son on the forehead with it.
“Ouch, mama….” He whined.
“Ahmed, you have to explain to me about what happened last night at the party.” She walked in. Her face became more annoyed when she saw state of the living room, a pizza box on the table, an almost empty bottle of wine, and two empty glasses stained with red liquid. “What would your brother think of you, if he saw you like this?” She hissed.
“I’m not Ali…” Ahmed calmly said.
Princess Latifa glanced to the room, she pursed her lips when she saw the clothing scattered on the floor, obviously he wasn’t alone in the apartment, “You certainly are not. Ali would never touch a drop of alcohol, and much less engage in intimate relationship with a woman before marriage.”
“Mama, stop comparing me to him! With all due respect, if you have a guilty conscience for abandoning him when he was just a little boy, you shouldn’t take it out on me.” Ahmed retorted.
“Ahmed!” she scold.
“Mama, I’m an adult, I think, I can decide by myself how I want to live my life, and with who. I’m asking you to not interfere in my privacy.”
Princess Latifa jeered. “Keep wishing! I’m your mother! It’s my obligation to see you take the right path. I will never approve my son having a relationship with a libertine like her.” She gestured to the bedroom.
“How can you judge somebody who you don’t even know?” He shook his head. “Listen Mama, thank you for visiting me this morning. I’m tired, I didn’t get enough sleep last night, so I want to go back in to my bed under my covers with my woman.”
She growled, there was a loud slap as the palm of her hand hit his face. “Respect me!”
“Goodbye, mama….” He said as he walked to the front door, opening it and gesturing her to go out. “We’ll talk again later.”
Princess Latifa walked out of the apartment, she lifted her head up high to conserve her pride as her son closed the door behind her.
Ahmed passed the palms of his hand across his face. Ever since he could remember she would always compare him to his older brother. He hated it. To him it wasn’t fair. Ahmed was tired of trying to win her affection by obeying her words to the dot. No matter how hard he tried, it seems that he can never beat Ali in her eyes.
Dejectedly he walked back to his room, he opened the sheets and lied down on the bed. Tia turned around to face him. She put her head on his chest, tracing it lightly.
“I’m sorry you had to hear that.” He whispered.
“Don’t worry about it. I might grow up to be mother-in-lawzilla too, one day.” Tia replied. “Instead, I don’t want you to feel bad about her comparing you to your brother. I mean, I’m sure that he is a great man, but so are you. Just in a different way. You don’t need to be like him. You should be yourself.”
“You know, now that she’s seen us like this, she’s not going to let you go.” Ahmed said.
“Hmm…..I bet she isn’t.”
“Oh well, we’ll worry about her tomorrow, right now, I want breakfast.” He said while taking off his shorts.
